Shift Your Mind Retreat
24th June
11:30 - 18:00

We are all going through something whether its to do with our family, personal or work life or something from the past. Anna and I have designed a day where you carve out time to connect with yourself because life is filled with ups and downs with most of us barely taking the time to check in with ourselves. I don’t mean a quick glance in the mirror. I mean to really sit, unpack and reflect on what we need to move forward. Cultivating presence is a practice of repeatedly returning to the present moment. We direct our attention in conscious ways on our mats, connecting to the breath, noticing physical sensations, and observing thoughts as they arise. We develop a greater sense of awareness as we practice, allowing us to be more reflective and receptive to our current experience, whatever it may be.

This day is for you, time to heal and shift whatever you feel is holding you back from the person you want to be. We will rejuvenate with yoga, heal with sound, ground with breath and connect with likeminded spirits.

An escape from the day-to-day in a beautiful setting. with wonderful forests and grounds. The house was the perfect back-drop for the morning's yoga session. I loved the precious time to reconnect with my senses and try to unwind during a particularly worrying and stressful stage in my life.

Kate,

I’m not sure what I was expecting as this was my first one, but I loved it, from the way you were, to the others there, to the food, to the sessions, to the gift bag, to the location and just having that time by myself and quality time with my brother

The day went beyond what I expected/hoped for. The yoga was challenging yet so calming, the food was outstanding and copious and I loved the walk, which was an unexpected treat

It was a beautiful setting, wonderful gardens, buildings and statues.

About Bernie

I am a qualified and fully insured British School of yoga teacher that loves all aspects of movement, sport and nutrition.

Before having kids, I dipped in and out of yoga for years but it wasn’t until I had children that I really fell in love with it.

I guess I was looking for a new way of connecting to my new body and responsibility as a mom. Yoga did just that for me, like an old friend who knew me better than I did at the time. I qualified as a teacher in 2015 just before my second child’s arrival. I naively thought I was going to set up my business while on maternity with 2 small ones. Well you can imagine how that went…

I took the full leap after a colleague and friends death. He is sadly missed, a great guy who would do anything for anyone. I lost my dad when I was 18 but this impacted me differently, instead of being angry, it shaped a new path searching for that deeper sense of purpose in helping people with their own healing and transformation.

I lost my brother to Covid and it leaves a devastating impact.  The truth is we take our mortality for granted so I want to stay grateful for my loved ones and live life to the fullest potential and to help those I can.

I am by no means perfect but I feel like I've always been a spiritual warrior that loves a sense of play and balance. I love meeting people with a passion for life, I love real people, story tellers.
